"Forty percent of the commodities in the world are being consumed each year by the Chinese to produce about 9.4 percent of the world's GDP, so you've got the most inefficient use of commodities going on there in history," Bill Smead, CEO of Smead Capital Management told CNBC. "We think commodities prices are coming way down, and that is actually going to be the stimulus for the next positive phase of U.S. economic growth," he added.
